Rev. Hugh Burns McCready Jamison

1929-1935 Saint Pauls' Church
Winter Haven, FL

The Rev. Hugh B. Jamison held his first service on October 1, 1929. In spite of the depression years, the parish continued steady growth. St. Mary’s Altar Guild was organized under Rev. Jamison with Mrs. Margaret McFarland as directress. The Rev. Jamison retired in May of 1935 due to a college spinal injury that became too crippling for him to continue as rector. He died less than a year later at his Virginia farm.
