Mrs. Sophie Reynolds, widow of Elmer Reynolds, passed away at an early hour on Saturday morning at her home in East Nottingham after an illness of a few hours. Mrs. Reynolds was a daughter of the late Barclay and Amanda Carter Reynolds of Rising Sun, Maryland. Two children survive, Melvin and Miss Rebecca Reynolds, at home, and a brother barclay Reynolds of Rising Sun, maryland. (cecil whig)

Sophia married Elmer Ellsworth Reynolds 23 Nov 1888 (Friends Ceremony), Father's residence near Rising Sun, Maryland. Elmer (son of Joseph Thomas Reynolds and Rebecca M. Pugh) was born 15 Apr 1861; died 27 Jan 1940, Pennsylvania; was buried , Oxford Cemetery, Chester County, Maryland. [Group Sheet]

I received an email from Ron Stone about a game he purchased (game collector) and on the reverse side of the game is written:
Master Melvin Eugene Reynolds from Aaron and Chalmer Reynolds Christmas 1898. For to play with in 1899. Rising Sun, Maryland (March 2016)

Melvin Eugene Reynolds was the son of Sophia Carter Reynolds and Elmer Ellsworth Reynolds. Sophia's father was Barclay Reynolds. He and Howard Haines Reynolds were brothers. So Melvin, Chalmer and Aaron were cousins.
