    written & composed several numbers. Lije & Kit lived on
    part of his father's
    farm for sometime. They were attentive members of
    Cumberland Presbyterian
    Church at Barren Creek. He was County Judge of Polk County
    for 8 years,
    appraiser for the Mutual Insurance Company, & member of the
    school board for
    33 years. Everyone called him Judge Devin. He died in
    Bolivar at the age of
    94. His wife lived to age 100. They had no children but
    helped in the rearing
    & education of several nieces.
