      James Bigger had the following children:( This James believed to be the brother of the Susannah Bigger who married Richard Carter and David Powell; the Polly Bigger who married John Carter, (s/o Richard and Susannah Bigger Carter, would then be the niece of Susannah Bigger who married Richard Carter)
      -Susanna Bigger. She married Thomas Rice in Prince Edward County, Virginia, March 16, 1807.
      -Mary "Polly" Bigger. She married John Carter Prince Edward County, Virginia, April 15, 1806.
      -Betsy Coleman Bigger was born January 20, 1780. Betsy died 1851 Smith County, Tennessee, at 71 years of age. She married Simon P Hughes Prince Edward County, Virginia, January 12, 1803. Simon was born January 26, 1778. Simon was the son of John Hughes and Sallie Tarlton. Simon died 1858 Smith County, Tennessee, at 80 years of age.
