Gertrude Reynolds Birth: Oct. 23, 1913, Pittsylvania County Virginia, USA Death: Sep. 8, 2001, Danville, Pittsylvania County, Virginia, USA Mrs. Gertrude Reynolds Lewis, 87, of 1540 Washington Street, Danville, VA went to be with her Lord at her home after several years of declining health. Born in Pittsylvania County, VA, she was the adopted daughter of Levi Donevan Wells and Blanche Elizabeth Mills Wells. She was married on January 25, 1936 to Lloyd Watson Lewis, who predeceased her on October 20, 1989. She was a homemaker all of her adult life and a member of First Methodist Temple. Survivors include two sons Levi Thomas Lewis and Roger Eugene Lewis of Danville, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased, in addition to her parents and husband, by son Lloyd Ivey Lewis. Graveside services were held at Highland Burial Park in Danville with Reverend Richard Morris officiating.
