  Parents: Charlie E. Edwards and Cordye F. Ferguson (as per SS Application) OBIT- MOTLEY, VERGIE EDWARDS Roanoke Times, The (VA) - Sunday, February 6, 1994 MOTLEY, Vergie Edwards, 80, of Rocky Mount, died Saturday, February 5, 1994 at the local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul E. Motley and a son Carlton E. Motley. Surviving are five daughters and sons-in-law, Louise and Curtis Washburn, Penhook, Betty and Carl Payne, Jamestown, N.C., Paulette and Alfred Williams, McLeansville, N.C., Joyce and Roger Yates, Kernesville, N.C., Donna and Daniel Mounce, Martinsville; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Virgil and Linda Motley, Salem, Toney and Regina Motley, Glade Hill, Margaret K. Motley, Rocky Mount; 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and husbands, Nannie and Robert Hawkins, Rocky Mount, Lucy and Clayborne Haynes, Rocky Mount. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 2 p.m. in Flora Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Berlin Hanks and the Rev. Glenn Voss officiating. Interment will follow in the Motley Family Cemetery. Friends may call at Flora Funeral Service after 3:30 p.m. Sunday where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m. and at other times at the home of Louise and Curtis Washburn.
