In the Name of God, Amen, I John McClanahan being sick and weak in body yet of perfect mind & memory...
two eldest sons my hold land & I allow each of them to pay my son John £20 when he is of the age of 21...
my son William if he come to the age of 21 to give my brother James a firm deed for 150 acres of land at the lower end of the land when...
my dearly beloved wife to have benefit of my plantation during the time that she remains my widow...
Executor William Snodgrass & my loving wife & my son William when he comes to age...
I appoint my son-in-law to sell and dispose of said moveables... and after my Just debts is paid & my wife got her thirds I allow ____ of my moveables to be equally divided my daughters except the three wagon horses I allow them to be kept for the ____ of the Plantation viz one of them is a stallon & one a geldon & the third a mare...

JAMES McCLANAHAN of the Co. of Lunenburg...
to my cousin John McClanahan my brother John's son the 200 acres that my Brother John left to me by bequest & if my cousin John dies before he comes to the age to Injoy It I order for his brother Alexander him to leave six cows to be Equally divided betwixt my brother John's Children and the remainder part of my cattle I order to be equally divided betwixt my Brother-in-law William Snodgrasses children.
Item I leave to my Sister-in-law Frances McClanahan my brother John's widow the money and corn that the Widdow Hodge owes me.
I order my Brother-in-law William Snodgrass to get the money that Thomas Dudgeon owes me and to pay my funeral charges with the same.
Item I give & bequeath to my brother David McClanahan my black mare and ____ and I order my cozen Samual McClanahan my brother Davids son my three year old Halter colt for the remainder of my _____ them to be equally divided betwixt my Brother-in-laws and my Brother John McClanahans children...
