      Abram Rhorer is mentioned in the will of his wife's father, Harmon Cook.

      John Rorer came to Pittsylvania County, VA in 1789
      along with two of his sons, David Alexander, Sr. and Abram or Abraham. His daughter Polly also came at some time. He had at least five other children who stayed in Lebanon, PA and many of them raised families there. These heirs retained the Rohrer spelling of their name while Abram's heirs are RORERS and David Alexander Rorrer, Jr., heirs are
      RORRERS. On April 8, 1789 John Rohrer and Barbara granted to his heirs, John Rohrer, Jr. and Abraham Doebler, his son-in-law, his estate in Lebanon, PA
      (recorded May 4, 1814, Lebanon, PA Deed Book A, page 134). A short while later John and Barbara moved from Lebanon, PA. to Pittsylvania County, VA where they lived with their son Abraham Rohrer and his wife Nancy Cook, daughter of Harman Cook, his employer and a very large land owner in Pittsylvania County, VA. On April 8, 1794 John bought 116 acres of land in Pittsylvania County, VA from Harmon Cook for 100 pounds.(Pittsylvania County, VA Deed Book 9 page 540).

      Abram Rhorer is mentioned in the will of his wife's father, Harmon Cook.
      The will of Harmon Cook was recorded May 21,1810. He bequeathed his property to his three sons, John, Harmon and Abraham Cook; and to his daughters, Catherine Wright, Mary Razor,and Nancy the wife of Abram Rorer.
