SOME SOUTHERN COLONIAL FAMILIES, Vol 4, p. 168 Daniel CARTER was born about 1724-26. He lived in Powhatan Co., VA and had a son named Povall, born 1762, who married Martha DAVIS 12 Dec 1790. June Cottrell's 3 Oct & 1996, citing Jim Gallman Daniel's will was executed 2 Oct 1797 and proved in Powhatan Co., VA 17 Jan 1798. Sons, Povall & Charles & maybe John; daughters, Ann, Susannah, Francis, Milly & Jennie/Janey. Susannah and John are not name in Daniel's will.
