?The Boaz Family: Ancestors and Descendants? by Robert V. Boaz; Kansas City, MO; 1999 (see Sources) states on pages 231-235 that James Archdeacon Cody Jr. was born about 1690 in Co. Kilkenny, Ireland and died before April 1761 in Prince Edward County, Virginia. He came to the colonies about 1735.
"James appears on the tithable lists of Amelia County [Virginia] in 1751 with three tithables, apparently himself, son James and negro slave Soney."
The wife of James Archdeacon Cody is unknown and is not mentioned by name in the records of the Virginia Archives.
