      to me
      Dear Reynolds Family,

My name is Leslie Jones and I attempted to submit a change to your ReynoldsPAtoVA.org site however the message was undelivered. Instead I received a message to contact the site via email.

I am direct descendant of Thomas Jones and Mary Repps. Your site suggests that my ancestor Elizabeth "Skerme" married Philip Turpin. This is only half correct.

      Thomas Jones, b. ca. 1626 M.Mary Repps b. ca 1633.

      They had the following issue:

      Elizabeth Jones, b. ca. 1659 - M. Philip Turpin
Repps Jones, b. ca. 1661 - died unmarried, and left will.
Martha Jones, b. ca. 1662 - M. Thomas Osborne IV
Thomas Jones, Jr., b. ca. 1665 - M. Martha Tanner

Mary Repps, mother to the above children, and wife to Thomas Jones, married 2nd Edward Skerme.

      They had issue:

      Edward Skerme, b. ca. 1672
      Mary Skerme, b. ca. 1674

Mary Repps married first about 1655 Thomas Jones and settle in Bermuda Hundred, Henrico County, Virginia. Thomas died about 1670, leaving her with four young children.
She married second Edward Skerme and had two more children before he died in 1677. Mary served as executrix of his will.

On August 9, 1684, Mary Skerme and her son Thomas Jones equally divided the land of Thomas Jones? deceased.

We Mary Skerm of Bermuda Hundred, Henrico Co., and Thomas Jones, my son, agree to peacably occupy land which was my husband?s, Thos. Jones, dec?d, bounded by the river and the high road, called The Hundred Path, equally. Mary Skerme to hold the part joining the creek toward Wm Ligon, and Thomas Jones, the part joining the swamp, next to Edward Stratton 9 Aug. 1684.

On the same day, son Thomas Jones sold 100 acres of his portion to his brother Repps Jones. This land, per the deed, lay "at the head northward from the river of my plantation," and was adjacent to William Liggon, Edward Stratton and Thomas Shippy. The deed was signed by Thomas Jones, as well as his wife Martha Jones and mother Mary Skerme.

Mary (Repps) Jones Skerme outlived her two husbands and all three of her sons.
She wrote her will on November 16, 1707.

She bequeathed items to her children, as well as to her Turpin Grandchildren and Osborne Grandchildren.
      Thank you,
      Leslie Jones
