Mrs. Patterson has proven to be a most intersting as well as interested help. Besides much of the early Brown material, that on the Elgers came from her and she referred me to "The Six-Quaker Clockmakers." 
Her husband, Henry C. Patterson is a descendant of William Brown and his third wife Catharine Williams.
