    Notes:

    As a resident of Caswell Co., NC, Wyatt Stubblefield served as a soldier in the American Revolution. He is listed in NC STATE RECORDS, Vol 16, page 619 among recruits of that county. He is also listed in the Revolutionary Accounts Vol V, page 32, folio 3 at the NC Archives in Raleigh.

    The Rockingham - Caswell line devided the plantation of Wyatt Stubblefield and his father-in-law. Wyatt owned several tracts of land along Wolf Island Cr in Rockingham Co and probably lived in the area for a time but is generally thought of as having lived in Caswell Co.

    Wyatt married Anne Challis. Anne was born 1760, Virginia Colony; died 1801, Prob. North Carolina. [Group Sheet]
