Letitia Morgan( 1744) is listed as the wife of Samuel Carter in DAR record #234106 in 1916 of Jodie Dunn Tucker. My grandmother,Lilly Carter Hoffman (1888) thought Letitia was the daughter of Goin Morgan because Lilly's mother , Elizabeth ( 1853) Coble Carter would say that Goin Morgan was a cousin to her husband , Robert Allen Carter who was direct descendant of Samuel and Lilly's father. However Goin Morgan was born in 1742 the son of Nathan Morgan ( 1718).. In Nathan's will ( 1750) children are Joseph ( 1736) Sukey( 1738),William ( 1740) and Goin ( 1742). Letitia fits as a sibling born in 1744 but she is not in the will. DAR has discontinued membership through this line until it is proven. I have found no records for Letitia Morgan ..although a cemetery is named for her.

Robert (son of Richard LQRP-LG2 Carter and Nancy Hines Marshall) was born 15 Dec 1836, Stanly County, North Carolina; died 29 Mar 1892, Albermarle, Stanly County, North Carolina; was buried , Old Albermarle City Cem., Albermarle, Stanly Co., North Carolina. 1. Ephraim Lee Carter was born 8 Sep 1872, Stanly County, North Carolina; died 9 Sep 1943, Winston Salem, North Carolina; was buried , Old Albermarle Cemetery Albermarle, Stanly Co., North Carolina.
2. Jesse Brady Carter was born 15 Sep 1880, Monroe, North Carolina; died 2 Nov 1950, Zephyr Hills, Florida; was buried , Old Albemarle Cemetery Albemarle, North Carolina.
3. Lilly Bassett Carter was born 27 Mar 1888, Albermarle, Stanley County, North Carolina; died 9 Aug 1979, North Carolina; was buried , Guilford Memorial Park, Greensboro, North Carolina.
