Some discrepancies exist between several sources for information regarding Nancy Eggleston; Peter Ramsey of Bassett Historical Center, says she is the d/o Nancy Watson who married Thomas2 Eggleston, and that she married Craven Wyatt.

Her DOB is listed in the Eggleston Notes as 28 Sep 1789; if this fact is true, then she could not be the d/o Nancy Watson whose husband [Thomas Eggleston] died in 1755. The Eggleston Notes suggest Nancy Eggleston is the d/o Jane Thomasson and she married Craven Wyatt. The proven Date of Marriage is 6 Dec 1836, [(Source: Virginia G. and Lewis G. Pedigo, History of Patrick and Henry Counties,(Reginal Publishing Company, Baltimore, 1977).] Known Children of Nancy Eggleston and Craven Wyatt include George Eggleston b 20 Mar 1788; d 22 Aug 1857 [He married Nancy Bouldin, 22 Dec 1817. Sarah 'Sallie' Eggleston b. 14 Jun 1791, d. Nov 1793 [dif]; William Madison Eggleton, b. 23 May 1795, d. 12 Dec 1848 m. Dosha Pace, 4 Sep 1826; Dosa was born 1800. Children of William Madison Eggleton and Dosha Pace are Thomas Joseph Eggleton, Jr.b. 25 Jun 1796; Gay F. Eggleton, b. 14 Mar 1793, d/ 25 Oct 1862. [This line traced]; Joseph Eggleton, b. 28 Mar, 1799, d. 1 May 1868. and Moses Eggleton, b 30 Mar ????, d. 8 Jun 1859, m Martha Cheshier 26 Jun 1834. Peter Ramsey's information suggests a son of Nancy Eggleston who married Craven Wyatt is Elijah Eggleston whose granddaughter married John Tyler.

Nancy married Craven Wyatt 6 Dec 1836, Henry County, Virginia. Craven was born 1798, Henry Co., Virginia; died 10 Dec 1880, Henry Co., Virginia. [Group Sheet]
