He then moved to Lawrence County, Alabama, where he resided until 1827, when he moved to Rockingham County, NC. near his childhood home. Two children, Elizabeth and Martha died in childhood. Pryor lived near the town of Draper, where he died 5 Oct 1858. He was buried in the family graveyard, alongside his wife Prudence. Pryor's name is (Catherine Pryor) his grandmother's maiden name.

    • Pryor Reynolds, Jr. was born in Lawrence Co., Alabama on 17 Dec 1824 and died on 12 Dec 1895 in Rockingham Co. He married Elizabeth (Bettie) Jones (1830-1879), /He is buried in Lawson Cemetery in Eden. Pryor, Jr. was a private Secretary to Governor John Motley Morehead, served throughout the Civil War as a Quartermaster and served one term in the House of Representatives at Raleigh.
