Find A Grave Memorial# 94969853 Mrs. Sallie Frances Reynolds went to be with her Lord at her home near Grady, VA of consumption. She was the daughter of Matthew Clay and Mary Shorter Wells. She is survived by brothers John James Wells, Joseph Sidney, Peter Thomas Wells, Charles Wesley Wells and Robert Lee Wells of Pittsylvania County, VA. She is also survived by sister Excie Clay Wells Barbour of Callands, VA. She was united in marriage on December 25, 1885 to John Henry Reynolds, by whom she is survived. She is also survived by children Charlie, Bogie and Silas Reynolds, Mrs. Henry Slayton and Misses Tabitha and Callie Reynolds. About 30 years ago, Mrs. Reynolds united with the Christain Church under the ministry of T J Stone. She has lived a consecrated Christain life and was a zealous and persevering labor in the vinyard of the Lord. She was a member of County Line Christian Church. She was educated in the public schools of the county, where she was much beloved by both pupils and instructors. She as an ideal wife and mother, laboring unceasingly for the welfare of her household. Mrs. Reynolds was the most obliging and kindest of neighbors and a faithful and steadfast friend. And, although spending her entire life in the same community, she did not have an enemy. But, was dearly loved by all who knew her. No one came within her influence without being encouraged to live noblier and better lives. She possessed a sweet, cheerful disposition and was kind and considerate of other people feelings and welfare. In the absence of her pastor, Reverend W C Clark, the funeral service was conducted by Mr. Voley B. Aaron.
