  Clement Lipscomb married Sarah B. Edwards on Dec. 23, 1811, Halifax Co., Va. Her nickname was "Sally"; she was living near Milton, Caswell Co., N. C., aft. 1812, and is shown living in Halifax Co., Va. in the 1850 Census. She died June 16, 1869, Halifax Co., Va. Her father, John Edwards, in Dec. 1848, "John Edwards, Sr. left 1/3 of estate to daughter, Sarah B. Lipscombe." This marriage, which occurred on Dec. 23, 1811, Halifax Co., Va., is also shown in the book, "LIPSCOMB 300 YEARS IN AMERICA." Also, Gilley W. Lipscomb and John J. Named in his Will are 5 daughters, among them Gilly 'Lipscomb' who married Thomas Lipscomb. Presumably their daughter, Gilly Whitlock Lipscomb is the individual who married Biggers Powell.
