According to the book, "Valentine Martin of Cumberland County, Virginia" by John R. Martin-

Orson Martin, Sr., son of Valentine and Jane Martin, was born about 1735 (not 1710) in Goochland County, Virginia. He married Ann Forsee and evidently died on the portion of his farm that became Cumberland County, VA. He died before his Will was proved on 24 Jul 1786. The Will lists the following children:
Sarah; Jane; Stephen born 9 Dec 1765 married Esther Boatright; John Martin born about 1767 married Elizabeth Boatright; Mary Martin born 1771; and Pastor Orson Martin, Jr. born 24 Jan 1776 married Elizabeth Sadler.

Orson Martin, Sr. lived only in Virginia and didn't father a child named "Ganaway Martin".

      Burial: Burnt Chimney Cemetery
      Cumberland County, Virginia
Orson Martin was the son of Valentine Martin and Jane Bridgewater. He was born about 1735 on his father's farm along the Cat Tail Branch of the Willis River in what was then called Goochland County, Virginia.
In 1761 Orson supplied food and bedding for Continental Troops of Cumberland County, Virginia and those records led to his DAR designation as a 'Revolutionary Patriot'.
Orson married Ann Forsee/Farsi about 1763 and they had at least six children.
Orson died before his will was probated on July 24, 1786. He was buried in the Burnt Chimney Cemetery found on the family farm located on the Cat Tail Branch. In 1970 descendants requested a Revolutionary War grave marker be placed at Cat Tail Branch in memory of Orson.
