"In North Kingstown, 12 inst., Mr. Jonathan Reynolds, in the seventy-eighth year of his life, Mr. Reynolds was one of our most prominent citizens, and from his close connection with the affairs of this town for the past fifty years might be truly said to have been of it, a living record. During that time he has been selected for the highest political and social preferments within its gift, having for several years represented it in both branches of the Legislature of this State; for upwards of twenty consecutive years been elected its town clerk, and for nearly twenty years previous, and at the time of his death was president of the North Kingstorn Bank..... Mary Spink, b. 25 Mar 1773, d/o Nicholas and Anne Spink. Prior to 1805, Mr. Reynolds engaged in carpentering, and at that time engaged in a retail variety business, which he gave over to his son, John J., in 1835. He was town clerk from 1813 to 1836, was a director of the North Kingstown Bank from 1819, and president thereof from 1834 until the time of his death. His obit is found in the Providence Journal.
