      George E. Reynolds, Sr., 80 of Elkton, MD, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2016.



      A lifelong resident of Cecil County, George was born in North East on November 19, 1935, the son of the late George M. and Viola (Biddle) Reynolds. He was the husband of the late Hope V. Reynolds who died in 2008.



      He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. Retiring from DuPont Co., he worked as a Process Operator.



      George was a Boy Scout Leader for Troops 121 & 131and Cub Scouts. He served in many different rolls over the years on the district level for the Boy Scouts. Dining at many different restaurants, watching sports and camping where some of the things he enjoyed in his spare time.



      Survivors include one daughter: J. Renee Funk (Brian) of Elkton, MD; and three sons: George Reynolds, Jr. (Brenda) of Orlando, FL, Mark T. Reynolds (Christine) of Elkton, MD and Jeff Reynolds (Michelle) of Ocean View, DE; two sisters: Carol E. Jamison of Newark, DE and Connie Sue Keithley of North East, MD; two brothers: Richard A. Reynolds and Raymond Reynolds both of North East, MD. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.



      In addition to his wife and parents he is predeceased by his sister: Mary Lee Simmons.



      Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 am until service time.



      Interment with military honors will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
