      Eli Jackson s/o Ephraim married Sally Emmerson d/o John Emmerson and Ann. He lived in North Carolina, either Surry or Stokes County, before moving to Missouri. He may have been the Eli Jackson who was granted 40 acres in Missouri on 28 Jul 1838 (US General Land Office Records, 1796-19070.
