Reynolds gave up his life at his home near old Roll after a brief illness of only a few days. He was stricken with influenza which quickly developed into pneumonia. Lewis Casa Reynolds was born in White County, Indiana, April 29, 1851 and died January 31, 1929, age 77 years, 9 months and 2 days. He was married to Ella Wickersham October 18, 1877. To this union were born seven children, Alfred Reynolds, Wheeler, Texas, Gertrude Gray, deceased; Bertha Gilbreath, Parker, Arizona, Pearle Phillips, Houston, Texas, Capitola Reynolds, Crawford, Oklahoma; Lee Reynolds, Oklahoma City and Frank Reynolds, Crawford, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Interment was made in the Roll cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma near the family home. Rev. C.E. Rhoades, pastor of the Methodist Church of Cheyenne conducted the funeral in a fitting and impressive manner, J.H. Tunnard undertaker was in charge of the funeral.
