Following info from Jon McConnel; Source: McConnel family history document by Lorena Estlow Hyde --
The document notes that his family added an 'L' to their last name about 1900, which explains why his wife's headstone has the 2nd 'L'.
Bio.: Sarah was born to John and Isabel (Carter) Stephenson in Maryland. She married John McConnel on February 26, 1842 in Guernsey Co., Ohio. They had six children: Levi, Henry, Isabel, Annie, Wesley, and Fannie.
